havn't had an other letter from Marion either - since her bad tooth was out—

To day Jerry drove Mary & me to Bridgton— I have had 3 summer house dresses there since early June to be made by Miss Mathews at Smileys— She could do nothing for me until the graduating exercises were over—

She fitted me & they will be ready next weeks—

Then Mary bought some Japanese lanterns at the 10ct. store - for we are going to have a surprise party for Gerome on his birthday - the 18th.

It is to be a poverty party - every one to come in the oldest raggedest things - & we are going to have hot busicuit [[biscuit]] & maple syrup & coffee - for refreshments!

The Roy Whiteheads are going to keep Jerry all the afternoon & for supper - so Mary & I can put some boughs up & fix the lanterns etc—
