Here too I had a splendid chance to witness the unparalled [[unparalleled]] scene as I had a place in a 
diplomatic loge or box next to Whitlock's - From this point I looked down on the spectacle as you would from a box in a theatre, as the Senate Chamber is arranged very much like our [[ours]].

The Royal "Tribune" was just to one side of the speaker's dias——  a large squad of soldier
