came in first, and marched up on the dias - and with their helmets & battle flags looked like a group of Knights of old - they all stood at attention during the proceedings—  
At the appointed time the Queen & Mme Poincaré entered their box, of course amid wild acclaim - "Mme Pres" wore all white. 
The Queen had on a dove grey dress with a white under waist, (am I not getting observant!) - Soon after this the Master of Ceremonies announced - The Marshall Foch "—and he entered the Chamber - amid a din of cheering that might have raised the roof but it didn't, he bowed of course, and took a seat in front of the speakers stand, and a splendid figure he was — but the greatest outburst of enthusiasm was yet to come — The Master of
