I forgot to mention that one of the prettiest and loveliest sights during the parade, was the throwing of flowers at the troops by children, they ran in and out among the marching columns, and were not hindered in any way, I never saw such orderly and good natured crowds, very little police regulation is necessary. I was glad to see that the wounded were provided with such good places, there were it seemed thousands of them, sitting in the front row opposite the palace 
reviewing stand, it was raining, but the spectator's hold their umbrellas over the heads of their beloved wounded, but some of the weaker had to be [[cont.]]
