badly.  Alice went over it again.  He takes no interest in the garden at all, Alice & I do everything except he helped when we planted the corn, & then I asked him to help.  As he is good & strong now, 6 weeks of school will not hurt him.  I only await to hear fro you, so please tell me what you think at once.  The 1/2 term begins June 1st.

I think it might be well for him to be in Paris until this offensive is over.  I will feel easier on his account.  I may take it upon myself to send him before I hear from you it depends on circumstances, on account of transportation etc.  We are having rainy grey weather which is a great relief to us all the nights have been so clear, luckily last night in spite of a clear full moon, we had a gale of wind & so were from from the Huns.
