closed, it being now 6 PM, so we came back to the Hotel, and I tell you I was tired I took a friend with me so he could talk part of the time with Franken. I could not keep up with his talking anyway he is a mighty good fellow and I had a splendid day with him, he will telephone to the [[?Banzie]] tomorrow and make an appointment for tomorrow evening for me. All my work is finish now and am ready to go at a moments notice which I hope will come soon. I went to get to work. The weather has been beautiful again today. I wish you would get Mrs. Ashley to let you know the name on the two packages which I was to send away. We had to break them open addresses were lost. I will keep them in my trunk until I hear from you. I want to send them to their destinations so the poor fellows can have a good smoke. Everything that is good in Paris goes to the soldiers even the smokes. We must live on what is not considered good for the soldiers. Lots of love & kisses to you my dear wife, Solon.

And I do not forget [[Ceciges?]] [[Jacks?]] & George [[?Pact]] and I hope they are well settled by this time.
