This is the begining of a very beautiful 6 A.M. I am at the desk selling tickets for coffee & chockelett to the Passing soulders, but it is very quiet the last two days. it seemes as though all the soulders had left this distric and our road in fast loosing its popetatourly for a the movement of troops and munitions  This is be cause the grate drive that has been going on has left us in the rear and every thing that belongs to the war has moved with it and being conected with a Foyer we must move last in a retreat as well as in an advance [[strikethrough]] my [[/strikethrough]] M Blanc went down to the line yesterday to look over the ground when he as to have his foyer it has bein burnt to the ground. not a thing left. the Germans has distroied the viligs there were still moving bodies laying around. and the battle still going on, we will undoubetly soon follow the army and be in it again. soon he moved away from hien on that we wen visiting a grate deel died he had nine citations. he alway loved to show us the Legin of Honor he just receved. he was quite young and a fine looking man.
