When Pam gives the chance to go to Paris I can get it. Paul & Elizabeth have gone to Grenoble. So Elizabeth wrote the other day, Every Y.M.C.A. worker gets a vacation every 4 months; two was offered to me while here but being neer the front and much work to do I would not except accept them. if they offer it to me now I will take it I'll hunt up Jimmie & we will go to Paris and celebrate the [[hand-drawn sketch of croix de guerre medal]] it surely feels very fine to have it the other day a soulder [[soldier]] took a photograph of the Foyer. Soulders [[Soldiers]] & me in the group, hope it comes out alright. We'll send one to you will see how I look with the cross of war. (Croix de Guerre) on my coat I had to have a new sewet [[suit]] of clothes made by the army tailor last week. it cost 220 frank. it look prity [[pretty]] good there is an american Regiment about 15 mils from here they have promised me a uniform Friday which I need also very much. the two I had from N.Y. were intirely ruined have written to Mildred twice but never here [[hear]] from her. we are in Esch about the center of Luxemborg. lots of love & kiss Solon
