A GROUP OF AMERICAN ARTISTS
NEW YORK CITY.
March 31, 1921.

Mr. H. O. Tanner,
Dear Sir:
Herein is a final report of the Exhibition of the Group of American Artists, of which you were a member and which closed its Exhibition Circuit about one year ago.
The cause of the delay in making this report is explained by stating that some of the pictures remained in storage for some months after the close of the circuit and I also was delayed by waiting until all bills against the organization had been rendered and paid.
The Exhibition opened at the Knoedler Gallery in New York on March 15, 1919. and after closing there on March 29th, the entire exhibit went on circuit to the following cities: Chicago, Detroit, Toledo, Milwaukee, Muskegon, and Portland, Maine, - in this latter city the exhibition was at the Museum for the entire summer.
Thousands visited these different exhibitions and the praise in the Press and of the public was very flattering, but while from an artistic standpoint the exhibition was a great success, I regret to say that owing to the war, the financial situation could hardly have been worse, which resulted in very few sales; what little business that was done being in the section devoted to the graphic arts.
An account was opened at the Bankers' Trust Company, Fifth Avenue and Forty-second Street, New York City, under the name of:"A Group of American Artists".
Following is a statement of accounts which has been accepted and approved.:
