the Smithsonian's relations with industry. The Chairman is considering a June 1973 goal of 75 Corporate Members. Income from Corporate Memberships in the current fiscal year totals $81,240. 
 A series of seven Key Cities speeches by the Secretary has produced potential individual members, donors, and active supporters, enhancing the possibility of regional Smithsonian programming and support.
 Smithsonian staff and Board members have begun working in San Francisco and Peoria, Illinois, on pilot projects. 
 Plans include four Key Cities appearances by the Secretary in 1972-73 and meetings of the National Board in November 1972 and January or February 1973. The latter may include a field trip to Panama, the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute.
 The number of Individual (higher category) Memberships in the Associates has increased 12 percent over the last fiscal year. Income in fiscal year 1972 totals $12,500.
