Wood Sheriff elect for the County of Pasquotank No. Ca. has taken the Oath prescribed by act of July 2nd 1862 – and given the required Bonds - There is, therefore, now no objection to his being confirmed in his Office. For the places of Mayor & Town Commissioners of Elizabeth City No. Ca., the under named, Loyal Union Citizens, are recommended all of whom can take the "Iron Clad Oath" as above, & have the property qualifications which the Laws of No Ca requires.
