the use has been explained by you on page 389 of the second volume and very clearly indeed. Perhaps you could see your way to let in the spanish translation words like : kitchen middens, swallow sticks and a few more to be indicated in the original english words as the explanation follows later and very clearly. 

The words "cache" and "cairn".

I could translate cache as "escondrijo" for example, which as you know means hiding place and cairn as "Mojones", which in Cuba means "Stoneheaps",: what do you think of this transliteration?
