My dear Mr. Harrington:-

It is quite a long while ago since I have written you any letters and the reason of this silence has been the utter lack of news.

The coffee season has come to an end and I have taken this opportunity to make a short trip to Santiago de Cuba in order to get my photograph made. I have returned here a few days ago and I am now busy sending the copies to my different friends.

Enclosed I beg to hand you one copy and I am registering the letter in order to make sure that the letter reaches you.

I think Mr. Harrington that you find me rather changed but then I have passed already the 56 mark.

There is no archeologic news at the present moment here and the cuban people at this moment are more interested in the daily struggle of life, which is very acute on account of the crisis the country is passing.
