From Jesse Complanler, Lawton's N.Y.

February Sat., 8th 1902

M.R. Harrington;

Dear Sir;

I just thought I better write again. First I let you know that I'm well as usual. Hoping you to be the same. Now I tell you I am awful glad I have received you letter and one dollar, last night. Now as soon as you send the drawing paper I begin to draw. Now I send you a picture of a big false face the first class. A door keeper, I think we going to have a good time on The New years feast. Mrs. Converse is coming and some others from New York and I think Mr Edward H. Brush is coming too from Buffalo. My Indian name is gar-noh-di-yah-oht. I have made some drawing for those people that are coming. I have our school begin. I am up to fift reader now.
