MAURICE J. SULLIVAN
LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR

STATE OF NEVADA
LIEUTENANT-GOVERNOR'S OFFICE

CARSON CITY, NEVADA

March 11th 1926

Dear Chief:

Arrived here last Saturday evening and as I expected my outfit was scattered between here and Beatty. My specimens are laying in a garage at Tonopah, and I just received a wire from the Governor telling me to leave this evening and meet him in Contact, Saturday (The most north eastern settlement in the state) So with it all I don't know whats what.

Knickerbocker is taking it for granted that he is to go to Zuni and has been talking to the Governor about it. I thought because of his actions last year and that we desired to make time this year he was to be eliminated - For myself I am not enthused over his going, if he is. Of course you will have the right to say, as the Indians will be your charge.

Have received several nice letters from Ethyl and they enclose regards to you. The little old cabin looked just as I left it and I got a kick out of seeing my things about.

Give my best wishes to our little band and say that I am missing the companionship and the work for here it is a game of battledor and shuttle cock - Just a note this before leaving expect to return here next Wednesday -- Kind regards to Lady H. and Bonny - Have been looking up [[strikethrough]] sor [[strikethrough]] swords and hope to get a dandy for you --

Always your [[image]]
