My dear Professor Pepper- We are getting out, here, a small booklet on the history of Textile Design in connection with our Textile courses and as Indian art has important bearings on the subject, I am going to ask you for some assistance. Have you any photographs that you could let us use as illustrations or can you tell me where I can get a few? What I want is one or two pictures to illustrate the leading characteristics of the Navajo design. I should like to also have a little information as to the development of their weaving and some explanation of the different styles. Doubtless you can refer me to some book in which this is found.
