of the Dep't have been moved from Berkeley to the affiliated Colleges here in S.Francisco. The building we have was erected for the Law School but never used. It is next west to the Medical school. We finish moving a week ago and now we shall make a temporary exhibit of the California material, Uhle's Peruvian and the Graeco-Roman collections, in the large halls of the building. Of course, this is only a temporary matter as the permanent museum is to be built at Berkeley before many years. I do not know if this letter will reach you, but hope that it will & that you kept on collecting for California, as you state in your letter you want to do so [[strikethrough]] if [[/strikethrough]] until you heard from me to the contrary. Mrs. H. starts for Japan & India in Oct. to be absent until May, Miss [[?]] is to marry Dr. Flint on Sept 15" and we are going to the Hacienda for the wedding which I suppose will be a great affair -
