Barnes began to drink and JW discharged him, so that made more work for me.  Barnes is working over at Edgewater with Brittin.  Suppose you heard of Brittin's engagement being broken off.  It was done very suddenly.  He is now living in Englewood in a fine house which he expected to live in after his marriage.

Ethel left us a week ago and is now in Los Angeles.  J.W. is to be married and I pull mine off next month.  There seems to be any amount of news but it don't come
