Mr. Homer E. Sargent, Jr.,

where you are located at the present moment.
I have not fully decided about my summer trip but think it will be to New Mexico and Arizona. I am thinking seriously of rounding up my material and publishing a book on the Southwestern textiles, both prehistoric and modern. If I decide to do this, I shall have to call upon you for a set of photographs of your blankets, as I feel the book would not be complete without having at least a list of some of your valuable specimens.
Shortly after receiving your last letter, I received a long message from a gentleman in the State of Michoacan, Mexico, in which he invited me to join him in some exploration work in that State. He promises all expenses after leaving the Railroad, including laborers and cook. He also agrees to spend a few days with me on Lake Patzcuaro. It is certainly a fascinating proposition, and I am planning in a general way to include this in my summer's trip, if it is at all possible to do so.
I wish you could be with us again this summer, it would be especially interesting to have you with us when we take the Mexican trip, i.e., if it does become a reality, as you have been over the ground, and therefore, know the possibilities and the drawbacks that are likely to be encountered.
