Your very kind letter of the sixteenth of last month reached me at Catalina Island where my time was spent trying to catch a tuna but as there were none there my success was but the average namely, failure.   Many thanks for the promptness of your reply: it is greatly appreciated: also many thanks to Prof Saville for his information.  He answered the questions which perplexed me most
