Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 31, 1904.

My dear Mr. Hyde:-

Your letter of the 25th. received and I was glad to hear that the contents my wires had been deciphered with the exception of the word Uruapam, which you made out "Wampum". I have written Mr. Heye about this so will not go into details in this letter.

The mail that brought your letter also brought the Mexican passes from the Museum, a letter from Mr. Heye with the check for three hundred, and the new passes from President Ripley of the Sante [[Santa]] Fe. President Ripley is certainly good to us. He evidently meant it when he told me at the Museum to let him know if he could help us at any time.

I received a very cordial letter from Mr. Winser. He wants me to pick up a few little images for him while we are in the City of Mexico. He wishes to present these figures to some young people who are making collections of this sort of material. I will write him to-day thanking him for his part in obtaining the Mexican passes.

In writing to the Museum about the material that is to be shipped from Hubbell's I stated that there might be 23 cases instead of 22. If Mr. Hubbell packs some of the small material in small boxes it may be 24 cases that are sent. The way bill will of course show how many should be received.

While in Sante [[Santa]] Fe we found a fine water jug. This has been sent
