to Mr. Heye with a full description which you can read when he turns the [[strikethrough]] le [[/strikethrough]] letter over to you. The specimen is a rare one and will be a great addition to the collection.

Wish I could have been in town when Hodge was there. I envy you the pleasure you will have if you can get together at the Club. There are so many things of mutual interest that it will make an event to be remembered. I am anxious to have Hodge see the material that I have collected. That is in the way of notes. He has worked on Navajo Houses to some extent and is especially found of this tribe. Hope the three of us can run down to Washington together and have an evening with him in his cozy den. Bandelier, Hodge, Lummis, and Winship are working together on the old "Sources". It may have been this work that called Hodge to New York, or perhaps he came on for photos of the Northwest coast tribes for their Indian dictionery [[dictionary]].

You speak of having heard that Benham is on his way to Phoenix. I asked McCaffey if he had heard from him and he said that he had not. That it must be a mistake as Benham had not written him to that effect. I had hopes of seeing Benham on the way through.

From what you say in the foot note, Nadine Nuttall must be in the East. Who is she to marry? That is a question that is bothering us at present. I know of no one in the East unless it might be Tozzer. He took quite a fancy to Nadine and corresponded with her up to within a few months ago I am sure. They would make a great couple. Let us know who the lucky man is.
