We,the undersigned, loyal citizens of the County of Adams, do certify on oath, That we have long known Miss Ellen Arrighi & having examined her application to Col [[strikethrough]] ? [/strikethrough]] Thomas Asst Comr &c Jackson Miss for the return of her house on Franklin Street Natchez state that we are personally cognizant of the fact that she was forcibly ejected from the property claimed by the Military Authorities, and that the same was never voluntarily abandoned by her - We further certify that we believe that she has been guilty of no act of treason against the United States Government- and that Knowing her well we have had an opportunity of Knowing if she has been guilty of such acts and that we believe her statement of facts is correct.
