Personally appeared before the under signed justice of the Peace in and for said County. Gabriel B. Shields. John B. Nevett. George W. Koontz. Edward M. Blackburn. William Dix. George Ralston. A. H. Branham. Pierre Backer & George W. Green. to this personally known as citizens & long residing in this vicinity and made oath that they are cognisant of the fact that the late William G. Conner of Concordia Parish Louisiana. was well known as the owner of the Rifle Point Plantation controlling & managing the same for years on his orders. and since he became known as the owner no other person has been known to claim the same. 
Said plantation is on the Mississippi River just north of B[[?]] Bayou in said Parish.
