Sir.

I respectfully request that my property situated in Concordia Parish, Louisiana and of the following description-viz "all that certain tract of land and cotton plantation called and known by the name of "Forrest" situate on the right bank of the Mississippi River, about nine miles below the town of Vidalia, bounded by lands of Samuel H. Laurdieu and Walter P. Smith, below by lands of McMurrein and [[Vardeman?]], in the rear by vacant lands and lands belonging to the Estate of Thomas D Purnell, containing in all Two Thousand five hundred and forty nine 13/100 acres" be restored to me.

I have never been engaged in any acts of hostility against the United States, have taken no part in the late rebellion, have given no aid or resistance to parties engaged in armed hostility to the United States.

I herewith enclose a copy of my oath of allegiance and proof of ownership of the property applied for.
