Dearest Mom & Uncle,

I have received all your letters in the nick of time. Right now, I'm on my way to Boston- on board the North East Airline DC-6B. It's very cloudy today & the plane engines are extremely noisy. Thank you so much for letting me go. I know I'll enjoy this weekend. Both Mike & Ray will be meeting at the airport. It has been a long time since I've been on a plane - was scared as first but not anymore. Reminds me of the first time we went to Japan on a 4 engine plane. I'm glad that we're paying for this trip. It's nicer this way. I think Mike will be paying for the hotel though. But that's all right.

The weather here is so unpredictable. It's been warm this week. Last week, in were 36* F. I bought a very nice corduroy coat. It's almost full length, lined [[strike through ?]] with warm material & it's $30. So I won't be needing your coat. Thanks.

In the past week, we had a few activities. Last Fri., there was a mixer: Sun.- a mixer; Thurs.- hazing (initiation) day. [[strike through We]] I don't have so much to do now. so far, I''ve been doing quite well. Got an A on my Physics test, B on my English paper (very few people got B's), & a high grade on my Math test- A lot of kids flunked it. Hope to do better next time.

The plane fare to & from Boston, is $52.- This trip takes 2 hours, so please of send me a check quickly because I haven't much money left in the bank. There is another problem- money.
