Dearest Monm & Unc,
I'm sorry for not writing sooner, busy packing to leave for vacation. By the way, have you received the cable I sent? Well I'm at Samuel's now and will be staying until X'mas Eve. Then I'll be going to Ivy's to spend X'mas Eve with Ivy & will be staying there for 4 nights. It's very nice of her to have me stay there. Mrs. Davis & Mrs. Hildwith both called to see if I'd like to stay with them. It was very nice of them but I had already made arrangements to stay here. I promised to call them though. Mrs. Dahmier also called. she wants me to visit her so I told her I'd try to go to her place on Jan 5. Your friends are so nice.
I have received Uncle's checks. Thank you very much. I'm sure that will be enough. I bought an ash tray for Mrs. Martin. It's beautiful & very modern. For Mrs. Ries, I bought something similar. I've sent cards to all your friends here too. By the way, I sent some cards back to you. I trust you'd know what to do. Please put 5ยข stamps on them & sent them. I think that's cheaper than sending them individually. The picture
