Dearest Mom and Uncle,

Thank you so much for sending the check. Sister has received it and cashed it for me. But she did not cash it before Wed. so I could not get some shopping money out. Your Christmas presents won't be late, as Maggie's bringing them back to you. But the other girls' will be because I haven't even bought them yet. I don't care as long as they get the presents.

I'm glad Auntie Margaret told you about my Christmas plans. I don't have the address of the place I'm going to yet. As soon as I get it, I'll write you. The mail, or rather, your [[strikethrough]] mail [[\strikethrough]] letters to me could be sent to Auntie Meg's. Did she tell you that I'll be staying with the Martins? I'll be there for the first week. After that, I'll be staying with Aunt Margaret & then with her son. I don't know if there will be enough time for me to stay at the Davis'. Anyway, I'll get in touch with them as soon as I find out.

About the report card, the P is passing. You see, this year, Sister Francis Loretta decided not to count on Religion. Instead, there will be only be P-passing & F for failure so it's only an outside course for us. I think this system is much better because we don't have to worry about Religion in the finals. However, the Juniors & Seniors only get this privilege. Actually, it's a trial to see if it works. So don't be surprised to see a P. It's good.
