Dearest Mom & Uncle,

I just wrote you a letter when I received your latest one. I'm happy to hear that you have no objections to my going to Los Angeles with Maggie. However, I will be going there for Thanksgiving because I have no where to stay at Christmas. Besides Maggie might be going back to Hong Kong then. So I'd like to go there during Thanksgiving instead. As soon as I get the money for plane fare, I will get the plane ticket. It'll be nice to go there during Thanksgiving. Sister Marion won't be staying at school during the holiday & so everyone has to go out. After writing this letter, I'll write to Auntie Margaret & arrange the Christmas vacation with her. I haven't had the time to send Mrs. Hudson her gloves.
Besides, I can't find anything to put them in. Don't worry. I shall send them very soon.
I'm so glad you had lunch with Mr. & Mrs. Idell. I gave Mitzi, their daughter, your address & told them to look you up. Did you to take them shopping?
Yesterday, I sent Grandpa a cable. I hope he has received it by now. What did you do on
