Oct. 19, 1962 Dearest Mom and Uncle, How did you do at the Race? I hope you won. Are you people all very busy engaged at dinner parties and so on? I envy you. Having so much fun while I'm here slaving away. I [[strikethrough]] didn't [[/strikethrough]] haven't spent any weekends at Auntie Margaret's yet and I don't intend to do so for the time being. I'd rather stay at school on a free [[strikethrough]] ope [[/strikethrough]] weekend than staying at the Reis' because it is so boring to stay with them. I shall try not to go to their place unless they insist on me going. Did you write to Sister Marion about me going out with boys? If not, please do so as the mixer is drawing near & I do want to meet some boys. Please write to her as soon as you can. Have you received my letter about going down to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving? I do want to go since I don't have the chance of going to New York for Christmas. Do you have any plans for me [[strikethrough]] at [[/strikethrough]] for Christmas? The holidays last for exactly 2 weeks. I know I'll be staying partly with the Reis'. Please tell me as I have to write to them about it.
