Dearest Mom & Uncle,
I hope by this time you have received my third letter. Please answer it as soon as possible. I'm very happy to hear from you. It's so nice to get some news from home.
You know, all the time I've been here, I am lonesome. I don't know why. Perhaps it's the idea of not getting used to school. But I'm doing pretty well. This quarter, I expect very high grades because I just could not set myself to work. So please forgive me. However, I've made up my mind to work real hard from today on.
Irene has been here for a week. She's real sweet. I don't think she is quite used to the idea of American way of life. But I suppose she'll be adjusted very soon.
Tonight, we're having a school dance But I'm not going. Only Shirley and her sister Magdalen are. The music seems to be quite nice though. I don't envy any one of the girls who is going.
About the letter to Sister Marion, will you also add that you give me permission to go to San Francisco alone or with another girl? As for the permission to go not with boys, I don't
