May 24, 1945.

Miss Lee Ya-Ching,
25 East 83rd. Street,
New York City, N. Y.,
U.S.A.

My dear Miss Lee,

I have just learnt with great pleasure that you are now the Chief Editor of the most prominent Chinese newspaper "Min Chih Pao" of New York City. I guess that your works must keep you very busy all the day through the year.

I would like to call your attention to a trifling matter of some accounts which you may remember are still not paid by you. The accounts are $15.75 for wireless telephone from Panama to Mexico City and $38.94 for three cablegrams sent by you to a Mr. Miguel Cozarrubias of Mexico. The total amount is $54.69 which I have informed twice by letters dated Dec. 14, 1944 and Jan. 25, 1945, respectively.

The telegraph office has sent bills to the Chinese Legation for demanding the payment of these accounts, but the Legation can not pay the bills with its official expenses owing to that the three cablegrams and the wireless telephone were of your personal affairs and private business.

For this reason, I have to write you again and am with the great hope of that you will understand the difficult condition I am now in for these accounts and remit the money --$54.69-- to me so the bills sent by the telegraph office can be paid by due time.

With best regards and sincere wishes for your great success, I remain to be,
My dear Miss Lee,
Very sincerely yours,
