April 24, 1941

Dear Ya-ching,

We have been meeting with a great deal of interest in the formation of Sectional Units and have found that it requires so much time to set these up so that they can function under disaster conditions, we are unable to make a fast tour. It is probably, therefore, just as well that you felt unable to accompany us on this part of Relief Wings activities.

The enclosed bill was paid by us on April 9th.

I am enclosing, also, some additional printed material which I thought would be of interest to you. The small circular we find is of [[strikethrough]] such a [[/strikethrough]] convenient size, and summarizes compactly our activities. I thought you might like to have some extra copies to distribute among those who would be interested.

My present plans are to be in Los Angeles in about ten days, where I have arranged with a fund-raising and publicity organization to put on a benefit or fund-raising campaign in that city. While that is in process, I shall fly back to New York and Washington, by airline, for two weeks in order to catch up on our Eastern activities and to carry on further relationships in Washington.

I should be so interested to hear of your activities and thoughts.

Best Wishes.

Affectionately,
Ruth
