Miss Le Ya-ching
American Women's Assn.,
355 West 57th Street,
New York City,

Dear Miss Lee:

I understood from Mr. Schwartz you are out of town, but I hope that this will be forwarded to you, and that you will be back in the city in time to attend the dedication ceremonies for our World's Fair pavilion. They take place in the Court of Peace on July 5, at 2 p.m.

We would like to have you serve on the Reception Committee and to sit on the platform, particularly because Ruth Nichols, who as you probably know is heading up the new organization, Relief Wings, is going to be there and say a few words about the plan to send the first relief plane of that organization to China. We thought it would be a gracious gesture on our part to have an outstanding Chinese pilot there to greet her.

Col. Roosevelt is going to be master of ceremonies and Dr. Hu S hih and Mayor LaGuardia will speak.

Please let me know if you can come, so we can send you a committee badge and reserve a place for you on the platform.

Yours sincerely,
Natalie Hankemeyer
