1942 Campaign

群力

Date July 14, 1942
To Miss Lee Ya-ching
From Edward M. Ballin
Subject [[blank line]]

Enclosed is a clipping from the Civil Service Standard, Civil Service newspaper, regarding the talk you will give for Local I of he State, County, and Municipal Workers on Thursday, July 16th, at 9:00 p. m. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:00 P. M., but a business meeting comes first so that you will not have to get there until about 9:00. They would like to have you speak for about 15 minutes, and I have asked that they put you on as early as possible as you have to leave early. There will be another speaker from Russian War Relief. The meeting takes place in the auditorium of Manhattan Industrial High School, 127 East 22nd Street (near Lexington Avenue). The contact is Miss Ann Doliner (telephone COrtlandt 7-3725). Miss Doliner said the membership is quite active for China, and she would like you to express appreciation for what they have already done and perhaps try to get them pepped up to do even more. They expect a good crowd. I hope you will find it a worthwhile meeting.

Transcription Notes:
In the line for Ms. Doliner's telephone number, the capitalized CO was used instead of a 0.
