Monday, April 26th - You are to speak at the War Conference Dinner of the American Trade Association Executives at 7:00 p.m. at the Waldorf-Astoria. They want you to speak for about 10 minutes - no longer than 15 minutes. Mr. Eric Johnston, President of the United States Chamber of Commerce, will be the other speaker. Your topic is "China Today," and they would like your talk to be similar to the one you made at the Advertising Awards dinner. The man who made the request is Mr. Frederic R. Gamble, 420 Lexington Avenue, New York City (LExington 2-7980).

Tuesday, April 27 - You are to speak at the Annual Membership Luncheon of the Kosmos Club at 1:00 p.m., at 125 Buckingham Road, Brooklyn. There will be about 65 ladies present. Your topic is "Vital New China," and they want you to speak as long as you see fit. As you see on the enclosed announcement, Miss Lois Bannerman, well known harpist, will be on the program. There is to be no appeal for funds: a worthwhile contribution will be coming from the Club. The contact is Mrs. Charles A. Soper, who can be reached at the time of the meeting in care of Mrs. M. Brassler, BUckminster 2-8624.

Tuesday, April 27 - In the evening you are to speak at a B'nai B'rith dinner at the Empire Hotel, 63rd Street and Broadway. They expect about 300 members and guests. They want you to speak about your own experiences as an aviatrix, tell about the gallant fight of the Chinese people, and discuss the role of women in the war in China. They cannot take a collection, but you can make an indirect appeal for funds. The organization is making a generous contribution.. Enclosed is an announcement and ticket - looks interesting. The contact is Mr. Karl Taus[[strikethrough]]s[[/strikethrough]]ig, President. The telephone number at the Hotel Empire is CO 5-7400.

Wednesday, April 28 - You are to speak for the American Institute of Banking, 4th Floor Auditorium, 233 Broadway (Woolworth Building), New York City. This is a panel discussion and the other speakers will be Mrs. Littlejohn of Australia, Mrs. Priestwood, British journalist, and a French representative. They want you to speak for about 25 minutes on "China Today." They do not want an appeal talk, but this is a group with money and I am sure they will be sufficiently impressed to contribute generously. About 300 men and women of the banking profession are expected. The meeting is to take place at 8:00 p.m. however, you have been invited to dinner at the Hotel Biltomore at 6:00 if you feel well enough. I have told them we would let them know on the day of the meeting whether or not you would be able to attend the dinner. The contact is Miss Mary D. Phillips, COrtlandt 7-1754.
