Dear Miss Ya-Ching:

One of the activities which United China relief plans as part of its campaign to awaken Americans to the importance of China, is a Fashion Luncheon, to take place May 22nd, at the Hotel Pierre. The purpose of this show is to underline the Chinese influence in fashions as well as to raise funds for the relief of the Chinese people.

I have been asked to be chairman of the Patronesses Committee for the Fashion Luncheon and I would appreciate it if you would act as a member of the Chinese Women's Committee.

I do hope you will lend your name as well as attend the luncheon, for your cooperation will be most valuable.

Sincerely,
Artemis L. Gates
