Miss Lee Ya-ching
c/o Miss Jane Hyde
Raymond, Maine.

Dear Miss Lee,

It occurred to me that if I sent you a brief line-up of your schedule, it might be helpful to you. Consequently, I have attached an outline.

The first day, I admit, looks pretty busy. It is. Yet I want to assure you of several things. We are trying to make this as easy for you as we possibly can. The luncheon will not be difficult at all. There the Mayor will ask you to speak for just a few minutes-five minutes at most.

After that comes the first radio interview. We have arranged that the interviewer at the radio station make your answers as simple and easy as possible. There will be no necessity for your making any long statements at all-neither at this interview on Thursday, nor at the one on Saturday.

Outside of the two interviews and the luncheon, the rest will be pleasure and purely social. We are to drive to Rochester that night-Thursday- but it will be fun. There is a big auction being held for China there. You will, as the saying goes, "take a bow," but that will be all. The rest, I repeat, will be as much fun as we can make it. And we shall see that you get your rest. We get back early to Buffalo from Rochester that night, and you get all the rest you want to have next day.

So, we will see you at the airport, and it will be a pleasure seeing you here again.

Sincerely yours,
Peter Chin
