Mrs. Allan Forbes
70 Beacon Street
Boston, Massachusetts

Dear Mrs. Forbes:

It was so nice to have seen you again. I enjoyed my stay at your house immensely and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind and generous hospitality.

I had a very nice trip to Washington, and enjoyed a few days of spring weather after our cold spell in the North. Then I had an unexpected call to Buffalo for the United Nations Rally and Parade to speed up production. It was a great success - 15,000 people at the stadium - and we all came away very much inspired from an inspection trip to the various war plants on the following day.

I shall look forward to seeing you March 2 at Madame Chiang's rally at Madison Square Garden. My best regards to Mr. Forbes and the family.

Sincerely yours,
