My dear Mr. Edmiston:

Just a line to tell you that I am very sorry I was not in New York when you called the other day, and that we could not get together. However, I understood that you were to call again.

I just wish to inform you that I will be in New York until the 12th of June and that I hope to have a chance to see you before I sail.
