Mr. Renee Seligmann,
3 E. 51st Street,
New York, N.Y.

Dear Renee:

I have had quite a talk with Mrs. Lloyd and find she will not be interested in the Modigliani not because of the fact that it is a nude but rathe3r she does not care at all for his work.

Fortunately, she is not going to California and we have some time to try to get the Matisse over from Paris. I suppose this is the only thing we can work on for the present.

I had expected her to go over to New York this week, but she will not be able to go until some time in February and in the meantime we will just have to say our prayers and keep our fingers crossed.

I plan to come to New York the latter part of next week and will advise you accordingly so we can get together and talk things over. In the meantime the family join me in all best wishes.

Sincerely,
Rod
