Jacques Seligmann & Company,
Attention Mr. Seligmann
5 East 57th Street
New York, N. Y.

Gentlemen:

In reviewing orders received in recent months we note the entry on our books of an order from you and observe, according to our records, that we have not previously had the pleasure of doing work for you. With the thought that you might like to know of other facilities available here, we are enclosing a small booklet which briefly describes and illustrates our principal departmental activities. We are also enclosing a mimeographed list of "Classes of Work Which ETL Now Does" which is suggestive of the sort of tests we can make.

Our new clients sometimes conclude that our name indicates activities limited to the electrical field. Actually, we operate in many fields, and are anxious that you should know about them. In addition to the kind of work that has been or is now being done for you, we have technical competence and are equipped to make tests in mechanical, chemical, radiometric and illuminating fields. Our clients include manufacturers, distributors, and users of products as well as agencies of municipalities, states and the Federal Government.

We are always glad to discuss with clients the possibilities of undertaking work outside of the more usual fields. If we are unable to do a specific job ourselves we are usually able to suggest some other competent laboratory.

We wish to thank you for the opportunity to serve you and trust you may find it convenient to fill out and return the enclosed post card.

Very truly yours,

H. H. Millar
H. H. Millar,
Commercial Engineer.
