Dear Mrs. Elkins:

With these lines I take pleasure in referring to your visit to our Paris office last summer and your interest in a painting by Picasso for your client, Mrs. Russell Patterson.

Though I wrote you on December 5th that Jean Michel Frank told me that you were not interested in our "Head of a Boy" by Picasso, I would like to bring to your attention the fact that I just received a letter from our Paris office informing me that a still life flower piece by Picasso has been offered to them. Perhaps this type of picture might interest you and your client more, and I would appreciate it if you would kindly let me know your ideas, so that I can negotiate further in this matter.

We also received a group of truly magnificent and most interesting de la Fresnaye's which I wish I had an opportunity of showing to you as they are unusually attractive in coloring, beautiful decorations -- especially one, the "Diablo" -- and might perhaps be something for your client.

Should you, therefore, intend coming east in the near future, I would be very glad if you would let me know as it would be a pleasure to renew our acquaintance.

In the meantime, please accept my best wishes for the New Year and

Believe me to be

Most faithfully,

(R.H. Waegen)
