Dear Mr. Erbet

We are in receipt of your letter of May 26th for which we thank you.

Regarding the collection of ten etchings portraying the life of Washington which you have in your possession, we would not be interested in purchasing this item.

However, we note that you are building and furnishing a new house in French style, and in this connection if you should be interested in purchasing any furniture, paintings or decorative art from us, we would be very pleased to consider taking the above collection as part payment towards new purchases.

Perhaps you would care to stop in here in this re-gard when you are next in New York.

Please believe us to be

Yours sincerely,
