Dear Rudi,

These are just a few lines to let you know that we are still alive.

Your charming niece, upon her arrival, got in touch with Ethlyne and we thus know that you are in good health, if not in the perfect condition you would like to be in.

This, unfortunately, applies to me, too, for on account of a series of physical troubles we have been unable to go to Europe for the past two years. We hope, of course, to be able in the spring of 1977 to reach Paris.

This would represent a great treat, for until I could no longer do so, I didn't realize how much this trip to the capital actually meant to us, and of course particularly to me.

If we can carry out these plans, would there be a chance of meeting you, too ?, for we often speak of you and Ethlyne especially remembers the warm and friendly reception you greeted her with on our honeymoon trip. How far all of this is, but as you realize it isn't forgotten.

Do let us hear from you, and with affectionate thoughts from both of us,

Yours,

Germain Seligman
