Dear Mrs. P undyk:

Re: INGRES "Comtesse de la Rue"

The gallery being closed as usual during the month of August, I am following up from the country, your request of July 5th., to reproduce the above portrait and Mr. Germain Seligman's response of July 10th., in which he informed you that he was communicating with the Swiss collector-owner.

Word has been received from the latter as of last week and I have been in touch with Mr. Seligman by 'phone. He asks that I convey the approval for reproduction and repeat his comment as to the color reproductions submitted, namely that they "both have a greenish overtone which blurs the true colors."

The credit line should read as follows: "Collection Particulìère, Zurich."

Should you wish to contact me further, I can be reached at

Box 237,
R.D.1,
Hawley, Penns. 18428
or by 'phone: 717-226-3628.

Trusting this word of approval will please you,

Sincerely,

Mrs. Therese D. Parker.
