Urgent- Hotel Ritz, Paris June 5, 1972 Dear T. From what follows you will realize that I have just received your log of June 1st, for which I thank you. Stuttgart Museum. Why didn't Miss Helpern send me a copy of the letter I wrote to Professor Baye about the [[Cardano]] - how can I answer him without knowing what I wrote previously? Miss Halpern, who has no memory at all, should easily realize that I in turn cannot remember the exact wording of a letter sent weeks ago. As I shall have to write Dr. Ewald from here, I will need A.- Our pamphlet on the Giordano. B.- the best black and white photograph C.- The best colored transparency we have. Please choose this one most carefully. D.- The photostatic copy of Dr. Ewald's letter (which will have address, title, etc.) E.- I would also like to be reminded of our selling price on the Giordano. For London. Going over my files, I notice that Miss Halpern has included a copy of the original letter I had written Mr. Avery (Victoria and Albert), but omitted the all important one I wrote to him in answer to his reply. In that letter I wrote how happy I was that he and I agreed on the name of the artist for the relief. I would like to be sure to get this letter before we leave for London on Friday, June 16th.
