Hotel Ritz, Paris June 2, 1972 Dear Mrs.Cooney, Do have my thanks for your nice note of June 5th, referring particularly to the tiny Ingres medallion. As regards the pamphlet material for the relief, keep it as is, without mounting it, for I may want to look it over in its final shape. Mrs.Parker wrote to me that Philippe Verdier's book on the Walters Gallery was not at the office but at the apartment, but allow me to say that this should not have hindered you from consulting this book at some library, though I believe it would not have added much to Mr. Wixom's letter. I am glad to read that you are working on the library and establishing the list of the sales catalogues referring to specific collections, for as you know well, to have them by years without any cross reference to names makes them rather useless and, on the other hand, how useful they could become when we will know to what collections they refer. I understand that you received the catalogue from the Shepherd Gallery. Do keep it carefully with the magazines, etc., for my return.
