Hotel Ritz, Paris
June 2, 1973
Dear T.,
Many thanks for your log, pages 8-9-10.
LETTER TO LANDLORD. I assume you spoke to Mel about it, though I cannot imagine any reason for objecting to it.
MUSEE D'ART MODERNE, Paris. I will try to call on Miss Bernadette Contensous.
UNIVERISTY of KANSSS. No answer, of course, is necessary.
EVERETT P. FAHY, JR. Through you suggest I write him, I do not see any reason for doing so. You told him that the Winterhalter could not be seen until the fall and that is that. However, Miss Halpern should make a note of it so that I may write him when I come back.
NORTON SIMON. If the Monticelli portrait has not been received at the warehouse by the time you received this letter - for it should have reached New York long before the Gustave Moreau - I would be of the opinion that you contact Mr. Isley, for it could be missed up with all those paintings from all over the world which must exist in Los Angeles - it would not surprise me.
SHERMAN LEE. It is too bad I missed him, but I will want to contact him in the fall for definite reasons. Please advise Miss Helpern.
PROFESSOOR PARISET. Will you also ask Miss Halpern to make a note that upon my return, I want to write to Prof. P. ariset, Bordeaux, with the following purpose - regret having seen so little of him at the lecture and to congratulate him on the discovery of the new "Madeleine repentante" by Georges de La Tour.
