Camp Alfred Vail
Little Silver, N.J.
May 6, 1918.

Bureau of War Risk Insurance,
Treasury Department,
Washington D.C.

Gentlemen:-

During the last week in November I made out allotments as directed by the adjutant at the U.S. School of Military Aeronautics where I was then in service as flying cadet, to my wife, Mrs. Dorothy Moncur Stanton, my mother, Mrs. Alwilda K. Stanton, and to my father, Mr. william J. Stanton. All the amounts were for fifteen dollars, and the first collections were made on my November pay. These amounts have been deducted from my pay until the date of my discharge, Mar. 6, 1918, at Kelly Field, Texas. The total amount of amount now due is in excess of two hundred an fifty dollars, which money I have had to supply out of the remainder of my pay with resulting financial stringency in my own case.

The following information will be of value in looking up this matter.
Alloter:- Charles I. Stanton, private 1st class (flying cadet) S.E.R.C., U.S. School of Military Aeronautics, Mass. Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass.
Allottees:-
1. Mrs. Dorothy Stuwrtt (Moncur) Stanton, (wife,) 365 Harvard Street, Cambridge, Mass. ($15.00)
"2. Mrs. Aliwilda Rebecca Kempton) Stanton, (mother, 170 Reservoir Ave, Revere, Mass. (15.00)
$. Mr. William James Stanton, (father), 170 Reservoir Ave., Revere, Mass. ($15.00)

A government family allowance of fifteen dollars per month was requested for my wife, Mrs. Dorothy M. Stanton.
Corrections:- The allotment blanks were subsequently corrected at Kelly Field, San Antonio, Texas, the last correction being made on or about March 12, 1918.

I have heard nothing from it since then; and desire immediate settlement of the account in order to clear up the financial difficulties in which I have become involved through non-payment of the money due my allottees
